ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Matt and I have been in the digital space for over 15 years. I have created websites on many platforms over the years but now primarily build all of my websites on the WIX platform.

Instead of me talking about myself, I asked a friend to hit me with some questions that people might be interested in to get to know more about the person building their website or logo.

Where do you live?

I live in a small coastal town called Yamba on the Far North Coast of NSW in Australia with my wife Sarah and two little girls Lucy and Zimi.

Is Web Development your full time job?

No. Web development and graphic design work is a side gig for me as my main profession is teaching. I am a Teacher Librarian at Iluka Public School four days a week. I teach the students science and technology and also library. I use my background in this digital space to also teach my students some basics in graphic design and how to use technology effectively.

If you're not teaching or building websites, what else do you do?

Well, I have a young family that consists of a two girls that keep me on my toes. One is 2 and my eldest daughter is 5. So if I am not at the park, beach or in the pool with them I am usually surfing.

How did you learn to build websites and do graphics?

I am fully self taught and have spent many years watching tutorials and sharpening my skills in the digital space. I first got right into graphics when I started creating iPhone apps. I taught myself how to use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to create graphics and edit photos for my iPhone apps.

Why would I choose you to create my website or logo?

Firstly, I am easy to communicate with. I will listen to your requests and if you are not sure what you want design wise, I can create something that will be in line with your brand or product. If you already have a logo, I generally base my website designs around your logo using the same colour concepts and font.
